This is a beautiful place and the path is in Spanish for fish. When I got to one overlook spot, a Navajo informed me that it was their tribe's spiritual location. So each day I was able to walk that trail, I would stop at the burned juniper and look down at the water below and remember to be thankful for everything I know. I think it is a burnt juniper give that it is in the desert and the below is more lush. I hope to fit in another trail walk on my short vacation. I have a lot for which to be thankful since my last visit.
I did fit the walk in on the last vacation. I saw so much and so many all cast in stone for many lifetimes. Peaceful and yet a banquet of family -- the family that was important -- that of nature and provided by nature.
